Before installing Barcode Xpress for Java, make sure your computer system meets these minimum requirements:

• x64 architecture
• Java Development Kit (JDK) 6 or greater
• Java Runtime Environment: Java 1.6 or later
  To check which version, if any, you currently have installed, run the following:

  	Copy Code
  java -version

• LIBC 2.4 or greater
• (Optional) Maven 2.2.1 or greater
  You will require JDK 1.7 or greater to use Barcode Xpress for Java as a dependency with Maven.
  To check which version, if any, you currently have installed, run the following:

  	Copy Code
  mvn -version
